The ball is in your court 테니스,배구 등 스포츠에서 유래된 표현으로, 경기에서 공을 던진 후에는 상대방이 공을 받아 다음 동작을 결정하는 것처럼, 일반적인 상황에서도 책임이나 결정권이 상대방에게 넘어갔을 때 사용됩니다.
1. I've apologized for my mistake. Now the ball is in her court to forgive me or not.
